Unsure what hygiene appointment to book?
Did you know that - according to the World Health Organisation - around 45% of the world's population suffer from oral diseases? One of the ways you can reduce the risk of being part of those 45% is to attend your hygienist appointments.
At Mint Dental Care Kingseat we have our dedicated hygienist Dr Jithin Jose as well as our dentists who can complete your hygiene appointments. If your dentist recommends it, you can choose between the basic NHS hygiene appointment, the more comprehensive private hygiene treatment, or Guided Biofilm Therapy® (GBT) which is the most extensive and also preventative hygiene treatment.
What is GBT®, you wonder? After your examination, if your dentist recommends it, an organic dye will highlight dental plaque. Air, water and erythritol powder spray will remove plaque and stains from your teeth, using Airflow® Max technology. Then if needed, any plaque from gum pockets will be removed with Perioflow®. Lastly, gently pulsating warm water removes hardened deposits and any calculus using Piezon®. The hygienist will then have a final look, and you will be done. The whole process lasts only half an hour. Comfortable, painless, and removes up to 100% of the harmful bacteria with lasting results.
