Dear Patients,

We would like to share some news about Mint Dental Care.

As a patient of Mint Dental Care Inverurie, we would like to let you know that the practice will soon (01.03.2024) change its premises from Inverurie to Kingseat Business Park (near Newmachar) and will be called Mint Dental Care Kingseat.

Please take a few minutes to read through this letter, which explains what these changes mean for you.

A little about Mint Dental Care Kingseat.

Mint Dental Care Kingseat was established in May 2023, by 3 directors, Joanna Prystupa, Fredy Vlachou (she/her) and Gillian Wardrope, dentists already serving the local communities of Newmachar and Inverurie.
The Kingseat practice is currently run by BUPA and the three of us decided to purchase this practice seeing it as a significant opportunity to continue the provision of dental care in Kingseat for existing patients as well as grow the services on offer to the wider North East area, including Inverurie.

We look forward to welcoming you to the practice.

The Inverurie practice has been in the area for over 100 years now but times have changed and Joanna has now outgrown her current premises.
The introduction of modern digital dentistry equipment requires more space.
Collaborating with new dental colleagues will allow us to see more patients and cover absences more effectively.
Joanna, Gillian, and Fredy worked together before and have known each other for over 10 years now.
From January 2024 there will be four dentists but soon a dental therapist and a hygienist will join us.
Dentistry is changing and we are trying to bring the latest treatments and technology for the benefit of all our patients.
Kingseat practice is very modern, and spacious, provides parking facilities, and fulfills all requirements of modern dentistry.

The new address: Unit 1, Mint Dental Care Kingseat, Kingseat Bus Park, Kingseat Ave, Kingseat, Aberdeen AB21 0AZ

Please rest assured we'll continue to provide NHS Scotland care.

We’re pleased to confirm Mint Dental Care Kingseat will continue to care for all existing patients.
We'll give you all the necessary information to facilitate a smooth transition and we will update our social media and website to reflect these changes.

We appreciate that this transition might not be suitable for everyone.

For those of you who will not be following Joanna to Kingseat, we would kindly request you to let us know promptly either by email or by telephoning the practice as a further process will be required.
If you are happy to transition with us to Kingseat, you will remain a registered patient at Mint Dental Care Inverurie until 01.03.2024. Thereafter you will be a registered patient at Mint Dental Care Kingseat.
For those who will not be following us to Kingseat please get in touch as soon as possible and not later than 01.12.2023 to notify us of your decision. Those patients will be issued with a follow-up letter informing them of 3 months' notice of the deregistration procedure up to and including 01.03.2024.
If you do not get in touch your dental registration will follow Joanna until such times that you secure a new registration elsewhere.

What happens to your dental records?

We will retain a copy of your dental records in line with our retention policy and will also pass them on to Mint Dental Care Kingseat for continuity of care.
Mint Dental Care Kingseat will continue to process your dental records for the purposes of providing your dental care and will be in touch to share how they will manage your data.
